About
I am at present working on a chapter of my major project on the representation of rape on the early modern English stage which describes the bed-trick as a site of anxiety regarding the construction of rape in the period.
I have just finished an article on the use of Shakespeare by early 20th Century American radio networks, which I am going to shop around as soon as the semester is done. Radio is a side interest of mine, yet it seems that not many people in Canada are too interested in Radio Studies, which is a pity.
Otherwise, as a practicing Buddhist, I am interested in bringing together aspects of Buddhism with a reading of post-structuralist theory. My first degree was in philosophy and I nurse a longstanding interest in Heidegger, Aristotle and Hannah Arendt. Also, as a grad student, I'm always interested in learning more about pedagogy and becoming better at the whole game of academia.
