Thesis Title: The Formation of Marriage in Scotland: 1350-1600

Elizabeth Ewan

About

My dissertation research is focused on the economic, political, and social influences on the formation of marriage in late medieval Scotland. I am investigating the development of Scottish marriage contracts during the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries.

More broadly, my interests lie in the examination of the key social bonds of medieval Scotland.
