Faculty Member, Philosophy Department
About
I write books about the nature of human experience, using a phenomenological perspective. _Human Experience_ focuses on the role of family experience in character development and psychological life. _Bearing Witness to Epiphany_ focuses on our relationships with other people, especially investigating the nature of political life and the role of artistic expression. I am currently working on a book focusing on political and religious history. I have also written two books on Hegel, and I am currently writing a third. I also write on Ancient Greek Philosophy. I am currently fascinated by the history of Islam, Hinduism, China, and the rise of capitalism.
