About
My current work involves questions of collective responsibility. Collective responsibility refers to both the responsibility of collectives, and, relatedly, the responsibility of individuals as members of collectives.
One of the main issues that I deal with is whether, and to what extent, individuals can be held responsible for the actions of a group of which they are, even minimally, a member.
The latter part of my thesis will examine the environmental movement, in particular the radicalization that leads to direct action (sometimes called Eco-terrorism). If I am, or you are, committed to some aspect in the spectrum of 'environmentalism' (i.e. moderate environmentalism) are you then, in any way, responsible for the actions of the more radical fringes?
